Office revitalization and innovation by M+R
In the renewed office are housed the two locations of Koopmans: Apeldoorn and Enschede. In order to achieve this, there is chosen for a flexible working environment; an open structure with flexible workplaces. These are divided into three domains on the three floorlevels. Because of this choice for a flexible work environment the entire program is realized within the available square meters and, so saves Koopmans on the accommodation costs. The existing office building with a traditional office format and a central corridor area has become a total metamorphosis. The Office is on the inside completely stripped; for the realization of a pleasant working environment, the lighting, acoustics and climate has to be optimum; There are new acoustic ceilings, there is a sustainable lighting plan with daylight control and the cooling and heating by means of ceiling induction units is settled. As floor covering is chosen for a special carpet; This one has a good feature for absorbing ' fine dust ' and reduces noise.
The work stations are equipped with an electric height adjustment and privacy screens, the computer monitors are mounted on monitor brackets. Each floor space is equipped with a living room, locker cabinets, concentration and consultation rooms and collaboration areas. To ' break ' the space visually, where previously the aisle was, there are now sculptural furniture units in the form of a ' skyline ' (as a reference to the building enterprise) these units have a repro supply, telephone consultation places and open places, closet space for samples and materials for building projects. The consultation rooms are equipped with an acoustic ' shell '; the necessary profiles of the glass walls are invisible included in the architectural floor and ceiling system. The meeting spots are accented with pendant luminaries, above the workplaces are suspended fluorescent fixtures with ' up and down lighting '. For the other areas where less light is necessary, is the light level kept low (up to 250 lux) so that there is a balanced energy friendly light plan.
The renovation of the Office was a fine reason to realize a more sustainable building and now has the BREEAM certificate very good (3 stars).
Also the entrance is refurbished, the reception desk has been updated and features a raised floor for the staff, there are for instants reception and club seats and a state of art teleconference room.
The plan for the food business café will be realized later, this investment stands for the years to come.
